Who We Are

We see ourselves as pioneers of Integral Medicine. What does that mean?

Our mission is to bring together scientific and naturopathic perspectives into a truly holistic approach — one that embraces the biological, psychological, social, and spiritual dimensions of health — and to reconcile these perspectives with one another.

Medicine is not a purely objective science. It is not simply a sub-discipline of the exact natural sciences — it belongs to the realm of anthropology, the study of everything that makes us human. A broader understanding of health explicitly includes the inner perspective and subjective experience of being human.

This is also consistent with the true meaning of "evidence-based medicine," which is so often — and incorrectly — reduced to nothing more than "objective" study data.

The original definition by David Sackett actually reads:

"It takes the clinical experience of the physician, combined with careful consideration of each patient's unique situation, to translate the best available external evidence into a treatment decision that truly meets the individual patient's needs."
